Course Description

Graphic design is the visual expression of ideas. A graphic designer's role is to translate, communicate - and sometimes advocate - by giving form to ideas. Though communication is often done digitally, graphic design is thriving since graphic designers are now needed for both print (flyers, brochures, etc.) and digital (web templates, digital billboards, banner ads, etc.) design. This course provides the foundation every professional graphic designer needs whether interested in freelancing, working in an agency or becoming an in-house designer.

Course Outline

In this course, you'll learn the fundamental skills that all graphic designers use: layout; color theory; typography; imagery and more. You'll also learn about tools and processes used by professional graphic designers and an overview of preparing designs for online viewing and printing.
