Course Description

Whether you are preparing to do your own stock market investing or want to make sure your financial advisor is giving you good advice, this class is designed to help you answer common financial questions. Learn what to look for in a good stock, bond or mutual fund and how to recognize and develop a good investment allocation in your portfolio. 


Course Outline

Class topics include:

  • asset allocation
  • reducing debt
  • detecting expenses on mutual funds
  • mutual funds vs private portfolio management
  • pros and cons of self-investing
  • commission broker vs fee-based financial advisor
  • finding long-term stock investments
