Course Description

Accelerate your landscape painting prowess in this condensed, intensive workshop. Learn formal elements and principles, through examination of various periods and styles of landscape painting, then practice and develop your own individual style through on-site painting each day (weather permitting). Class meetings begin with instructions and demonstrations, focusing on techniques and methods in plein air painting. You will receive individual guidance during class, and class will conclude with a group critique.   

Prerequisites

This workshop is open to all media and skill levels, though some previous drawing experience is helpful.

Recommendations

  • Online registration closes at 6 p.m. one day before the start of the class, unless noted on individual sections.
