Course Description

Paul Cezanne is widely credited with forming a bridge between the work of the Impressionists and the early twentieth century styles of Fauvism, Cubism and abstract art. We will examine the works of Cezanne's early career, through his re-invention of the genres of still life, landscape and portraiture, to his final series depicting bathers, card players and Mont Sainte-Victoire.
