Course Description
Learn the basics of developing training programs for your employees, from identifying training needs to evaluating programs for continual improvement. Understand how different types of training can be used to support employees in reaching their career development goals. Effective employee professional development programs are one of the most important aspects of human resource management.
Learner Outcomes
After completing this course, you'll be able to:
- Describe the importance of employee training and development
- Outline the five phases of the training development process
- List different types of training
- Explain best practices for evaluating training programs
- Describe the career development life-cycle
- List the tools that employers can use to support career development
- List some of the challenges and legal considerations for training and development in the workplace
