PSC172 - Assessing Workforce Needs
Course Description
HR personnel are critical to helping an organization anticipate the workforce it will need, assess the one it has, and plan how to bridge the gap. In this course, HR practitioners will learn how to evaluate an organization's current workforce and how to plan for future workforce needs, including recruitment, training and development, and leveraging appropriate types of employment. The course covers labor supply and demand, both within and external to the organization, to help HR professionals better understand how to position their organization in the labor market.
Learner Outcomes
After completing this course, you'll be able to:
- Explain HR's role in attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining employees
- Explore HR's role in providing a workforce that meets an organization's goals
- Explain how to assess if current talent can effectively meet an organization's goals
- Identify how market supply and demand affect future skills gaps
- Describe how to conduct a gap analysis using the current workforce
