PSC187 - Artificial Intelligence for HR Professionals
Course Description
Learn about different kinds of artificial intelligence (AI) — including machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI — and explore how AI impacts talent acquisition, talent development, compensation and benefits, employee relations and engagement and performance management. Understand the benefits and challenges of using AI, which HR responsibilities are best assisted by AI tools, and the importance of human oversight. Investigate ethical behavior and legal compliance of AI use in the HR field, as well as how AI affects bias and the achievement of inclusivity initiatives.
Learner Outcomes
After completing this course, you'll be able to:
- Define the phases of artificial intelligence (AI)
- Differentiate between supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning
- Identify HR applications of machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI
- Explain how AI supports talent acquisition and talent management
- Describe how AI impacts compensation management and performance management
- Explain how AI affects employee relations and engagement
- Identify the most effective training data to best utilize AI
- Describe ethical issues and biases related to AI
- Identify advantages and disadvantages of utilizing AI tools to achieve inclusivity initiatives
- Explain AI-related legislation pertaining to HR functions
