Course Description
Adobe® Illustrator® is a primary tool used to create professional vector graphics for print and web designs. Illustrator® provides precise and powerful drawing tools and a host of time-savers for busy professionals. Learn to create illustrations and typography effect and work with colors, gradients, layers, fonts and photos to create eye-catching illustrations and text effects. Create design advertisements and printable documents.
Course Outline
This course consists of five modules:
Module 1: Illustrator Interface and Tools, Layers, Color, and Generative AI
Module 2: Shapes, Lines, Paths, Pen Tool, and Text
Module 3: Pathfinder, Saving Files, Guides and working with Images
Module 4: Brushes, Patterns, Blending, and Transparency
Module 5: Special Effects and advanced Type features
Learner Outcomes
This course provides a comprehensive foundation for students to become technically proficient within the Adobe® Illustrator® application, developing and demonstrating an understanding of the capabilities of the application.
Upon completion of the course, a successful student will be able to do the following:
- Identify basic Adobe® Illustrator® tools
- Apply color and gradients to artwork
- Create vector graphics using Generative AI features in Illustrator®
- Create and modify Shapes, Paths, and Lines using a variety of tools
- Add text to a document
- Combine vector objects to create shapes
- Convert images and text into editable formats
- Create design materials to be built upon and utilized in a portfolio
Notes
Required for this class is Adobe Illustrator or a Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps plan with Desktop Apps downloaded on your home computer or laptop.
You will need a Creative Cloud account username and password.
