Course Description

Calling all Downton Abbey devotees and Anglophiles! Just in time for the opening of the new Downton Abbey movie, come learn what it would be like to be a guest at Highclere Castle, the “real Downton Abbey.” The course will explore the art and architecture of the castle, and the food and entertainment that famous guests have enjoyed while staying at the Highclere. Dr. Jann Mackey will discuss the history and essential role of entertaining at Highclere and how the style and preferences have evolved over the years.
