Course Description

With FaceBook's emphasis on video content, new SEO algorithms as Google owns YouTube and with over 75 million people in the USA watching online videos everyday mostly on mobile devices it's no surprise that spending on video marketing has more than tripled in the last 5 years. Video is now an integral and essential part of any digital marketing campaign. Being successful at video marketing requires a distinct skill set from other marketing tactics. A great online video is one that people want to watch, will engage with and will share. In this course we will study the science of how to create online videos that people want to watch. Upon completion of this course you will understand the science behind successful video marketing strategy and will understand how to create, edit, plan and measure results for a successful video. This course is taught by a leading video marketing strategist and CEO at one of DFW's leading video marketing agencies who is YouTube Certified. Topics will include:

  • Understand what businesses are doing right and wrong with online video
  • Understand how to shoot, edit, upload a video to Facebook, YouTube and Instagram
  • Understand the basics of storytelling with online video
  • Understand how to optimize a YouTube channel and video " Understand the basics of video marketing strategy
  • Understand the core success factors and how to measure success with online video
  • Understand the basics of selling with video


Students will need to bring the following items with them to class:

  • Laptop
  • Smartphone
  • You need to have a YouTube, FaceBook and Instagram account
  • A smartphone lens.  If you don't already have one the instructor recommends: Olloclip, Moment Macro Lens, Photojojo Magnetic iPhone, Android Lens or Beastgrip
