Course Description

Delve into Dallas’ richly diverse architecture and discover the popular styles and major architects who shaped the city’s landscape over the course of the twentieth century. Using examples of residential, commercial, educational and religious buildings learn how to identify unique characteristics of different architectural styles represented across Dallas’ neighborhoods – like Spanish Revival, Georgian, Mid-Century Modern, and more. Gain greater knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the design legacy of our city.
