Course Description

Tap into your creativity through writing! Analyze short works of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry. Then, using lessons from published works, write an original work in each of the three genres.

Class 1: Fiction - analysis and discussion

Class 2: Fiction - generative writing workshop

Class 3: Creative Nonfiction - analysis and discussion

Class 4: Creative Nonfiction - generative writing workshop

Class 5: Poetry - analysis and discussion

Class 6: Poetry - generative writing workshop

Prerequisites

This class is open to students at all levels, and no previous experience with creative writing is necessary.
