CSC005 - Networking with the Art World
Course Description
Did you know that the arts and culture industry represents 1 in every 15 jobs in Texas and generates $1.47 billion in annual economic activity in the North Texas region? For individuals, studies show that interaction with art can spark creativity and, in turn, help you to gain new insights and perspectives about business or personal challenges.
With an expert as your guide, meet the "movers and shakers" of the Dallas art world. Get to know local artists and organizations that play important roles in the creative community. Interact with compelling works of art and engage in lively and provocative conversations. Whether you participate as a professional, an enthusiast or a consumer, this class will help you to build an artistically-minded network and to form personal relationships as you explore the business and creative sides of galleries, collections, museums, alternative art spaces and studios.
Each workshop section focuses on a different topic, artist, gallery, or exhibition.
